Surround Sound
Installing a surround sound system transforms a living room into an immersive cinema by strategically placing speakers to create a 360-degree sound field.
The foundation of a 5.1 system involves placing the centre channel directly above or below the TV for dialogue, with left and right front speakers angled towards the seating area to form an equilateral triangle.
Surround speakers should be mounted to the sides or just behind the viewing area, ideally one to two feet above ear level, to provide ambient sound without overpowering the front stage.
